Manager, Risk & Quality Assurance Full Time NEW

Purpose of the Job: Function as the independent final gatekeeper of the Bank’s digital banking ecosystem, providing impartial governance over testing, security hardening, regulatory compliance, and fraud intelligence ensuring speed-to-market never compromises security or compliance.

Generic Functions:

• Develop, review and implement policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division;
• Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct, culture, and ascertain that subordinates abide by same
• Cultivate a working environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and transparency among staffs
• Provide services as per the service level agreement, follow- up & monitor subordinates to do the same
• Mentor and coach subordinates towards effective career development
• Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank

Specific Functions:

• Maintain authority as the final gatekeeper, with power to halt any product release, API integration, or system change failing to meet security, quality, or compliance standards.
• Own the Bank’s digital banking Testing & Release Governance framework all UAT scripts, regression testing protocols, and Change Advisory Board (CAB) validation procedures.
• Lead the Bank’s digital cybersecurity audit program reviewing source code quality, penetration testing logs, vulnerability assessments, and security baseline compliance.
• Manage the digital regulatory compliance audit calendar scheduling reviews against NBE directives, PCI-DSS requirements, and internal controls to ensure zero penalties.
• Serve as the intelligence bridge between Digital Banking and the centralized Risk Management function, sharing real-time insights on fraud trends and cybersecurity threats.
• Review and formally sign off on all new digital product launches, system upgrades, and major configuration changes before production deployment.
• Produce monthly governance reports for the CDBO covering audit findings, UAT statuses, security incidents, compliance standings, and remediation progress
• Handle other related duties as may be required

Experience: Seven/Nine 7/9 years of relevant Banking experience in the area of risk, IT audit, or information security of which at least 3 years as a Senior Officer or equivalent position in project management and quality assurance roles.

Additional Requirements:

Certifications: PMP–Certificate in Project Management and planning, CISA–Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certificate in Quality assurance, CRISC–Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, PCI-DSS QSA or ISA (advantageous).

Technical Skills: Digital risk frameworks and cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST), Penetration testing oversight, vulnerability management and SIEM platforms, NBE digital banking regulations and PCI-DSS requirements, UAT design, test case management and release governance frameworks.

Behavioral Competencies: Uncompromising integrity and independence in governance decisions, highly analytical with strong risk-identification and pattern-recognition, Ability to stand firm under commercial pressure while maintaining collaborative relationships, Clear communicator of risk and compliance intelligence to executive audiences.
