Job Description

An IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s technology systems, ensuring smooth IT operations, and providing technical support to staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure (computers, servers, networks, and related systems)
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues
• Monitor network performance and ensure stable internet and system connectivity
• Maintain data backup systems and ensure information security
• Protect systems against cybersecurity risks, viruses, and unauthorized access
• Provide technical support to employees for daily IT-related problems
• Maintain and repair computer equipment when needed
• Coordinate software licenses and system upgrades
• Ensure proper functioning of email systems, databases, and organizational applications
• Document IT procedures and technical issues
• Support implementation of new technologies and digital systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Computer Science
  • Software Engineering
  • Related technical fields
• Minimum 4 years relevant work experience
• Knowledge of:
  • Computer hardware and maintenance
  • Networking and system administration
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Data protection and IT security
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and within teams
