Job Description
An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for the role of Team Leader – Fleet.

The position is structured to report to the Fleet Manager.
Key Purpose Statement
To supervise and coordinate daily fleet maintenance activities, ensuring fleet assets are maintained in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective condition through effective execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, adherence to maintenance standards, and efficient utilization of resources.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fleet maintenance activities to ensure vehicle availability and reliability.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans in line with established schedules and standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and ensure defects and breakdowns are attended to promptly.
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
- Coordinate engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and clutch maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed according to manufacturer recommendations and company procedures.
- Inspect completed maintenance work and verify compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Monitor workshop activities and ensure efficient utilization of tools, spare parts, and resources.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and fleet documentation.
- Prepare routine maintenance and fleet performance reports.
- Monitor maintenance costs and provide input for cost control initiatives.
- Support the Fleet Manager in planning maintenance schedules and vehicle replacement requirements.
- Coordinate with drivers, technicians, and external service providers to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to improve fleet reliability and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety requirements, fleet policies, and SHEQ standards.
- Conduct workplace inspections and address unsafe conditions and practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop technicians and other fleet maintenance personnel.
- Ensure effective housekeeping and safe working practices within the workshop and fleet operation areas.
Education
- First Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
- Experience supervising workshop or maintenance personnel.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance planning and execution.
- Experience in maintenance reporting, cost monitoring, and fleet performance analysis.
