Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports to the relevant government authorities.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations, including:
VAT
Withholding tax
Income tax
Excise tax
Other regulatory requirements
Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.
Oversee month-end and year-end financial closing processes in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Department Manager.
Required qualifications and skills
BA Degree in Accounting and Finance.
6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a relevant or responsible position.
Knowledge of Ethiopian e-Tax and TASS systems.
Knowledge of Ethiopian tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Good understanding of accounting principles.
