Key Purpose Statement

To design, evaluate, optimize, and govern Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies that enable efficient resource allocation, cost-effective customer coverage, and sustainable commercial growth by leveraging data-driven modeling, simulation, master data management, and cross-functional collaboration while driving continuous improvement and alignment with evolving business objectives.

Key Outputs and Accountabilities

Business RTM Model Application

• Apply the business RTM model to allocate resources and schedule customer visits efficiently, achieving modelled cost objectives on an annual basis or as business needs change.
• Ensure that all customer interactions are strategically aligned with the RTM model to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

RTM Setup Evaluation and Optimization

• Evaluate existing RTM setups to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend optimal RTM proposals for various commercial initiatives.
• Address product, promotion, market, customer, and employee factors to enhance the effectiveness of the RTM strategy and improve overall commercial performance.

Simulation and Feasibility Testing

• Simulate proposed RTM models using defined parameters to assess their feasibility and effectiveness before implementation.
• Analyze simulation results to ensure that proposed models meet business objectives and can be practically executed.

Customer Master data Management

• Maintain accurate customer master data, including GPS coordinates, calling days, and route numbers, to support precise business modeling and reporting.
• Regularly update and validate customer information to ensure it reflects current data and supports effective route planning.

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Coordinate with finance, HR, central and regional sales teams, and other stakeholders to align RTM strategies and ensure consistent execution across all levels.
• Address any discrepancies or issues with RTM strategies to maintain a unified and effective approach across the organization.

Continuous Improvement

• Regularly review RTM processes and gather feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Adapt RTM strategies and processes to address evolving business needs and ensure continued efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Experience

• Skill in applying the RTM model to allocate resources and schedule customer visits efficiently while demonstrating strategic alignment and cost-consciousness.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend improvements to RTM setups, addressing commercial factors with a focus on performance enhancement and strategic insight.
• Proficiency in simulating RTM models to assess feasibility and effectiveness, coupled with analytical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in maintaining and updating accurate customer masterdata to support effective route planning, demonstrating attention to detail and data integrity.
• Ability to collaborate and to coordinating with finance, HR, and sales teams to align RTM strategies, showing strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities to ensure consistent execution.

Experience:

• Relevant Marketing or Sales degree, 3 years’ experience in a sales role within the FMCG industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of sales processes, customer engagement, and market dynamics.
• Technical Proficiency Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and routing/logistic software, with a proven ability to analyze data, manage complex routing systems, and optimize logistical operations for improved efficiency.
