Job Description

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Ministry of Justice has introduced organizational and operational reforms under its five-year strategic plan to strengthen its capacity to fulfill its legal mandate. As part of this initiative, the Ministry is seeking to recruit qualified and motivated Legal Professionals to serve as Public Prosecutors across its various departments, directorates, branch offices, and coordination units.

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Ministry of Justice invites qualified new graduates who meet the following requirements to apply for the vacant position below.

Required Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree (LL.B) in Law from a recognized higher education institution.
• Graduated in Ethiopian Calendar Year 2018 (E.C.).
• Minimum Cumulative GPA (CGPA): 3.6 or above.
• Exit Exam Score: 85th percentile or above.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be an Ethiopian citizen residing in Ethiopia.
• Respect and uphold the Constitution and the Rule of Law.
• Not be a member of any political organization.
• Have a good reputation for integrity, honesty, diligence, and ethical conduct.
• Be able to provide a certificate of good conduct from their university or a government institution in their place of residence.
• Have no criminal record.
• Be proficient in the Federal Government’s working language.
• Be willing and able to sit for and pass written and/or oral examinations as required.
