Background
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) supports humanitarian and development operations through timely, transparent and efficient procurement. WFP Ethiopia manages a diverse procurement portfolio involving goods and services, local and international sourcing, supplier engagement, market research, contracting, data analysis and procurement planning. The Procurement Unit is strengthening Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), vendor onboarding, digital procurement workflows, data integrity and management reporting. The internship will provide structured practical experience while supporting routine procurement delivery and sustainable improvements in vendor management, tracking and reporting.
Purpose of Job
The internship is designed to provide practical exposure to procurement operations in a humanitarian context while supporting the Procurement Unit in vendor management, procurement processing, digital systems, data analysis, reporting and process improvement.
