Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager, IT System & Database Management Division, the Trainee Banker (Junior IT System & Database Management Officer) is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, performance, and security of the Bank’s IT systems and databases. The role is designed for fresh graduates seeking to build a career in banking IT operations, system administration, and database management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting core banking systems and other IT applications.

• Support database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, performance monitoring, and data integrity checks.

• Help ensure the security, availability, and reliability of IT systems and databases.

• Assist in troubleshooting system and database-related issues and provide timely resolution.

• Support implementation of system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.

• Maintain proper documentation of systems, procedures, and incident reports.

• Assist in user support, access control, and system usage monitoring.

• Ensure compliance with bank policies, IT standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, IT System & Database Management Division.

Requirements

Education (Minimum):

• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• None required (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of IT systems, databases, and networking concepts.

• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux) is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a banking IT environment.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
