About the Role

Excel Consultrade is a marketing and consultancy firm with over 8 years of experience specializing in integrated marketing, digital solutions, and large-scale research projects. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Statistician, Business and Data Analyst to join our team.

This role is critical for our upcoming high-profile projects, including a multinational retail audit and an innovative survey project trade. The successful candidate will engage in survey design, data collection oversight, complex business research analysis, and the management of different market research and business consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: support the Business Unit head in planning, organizing, leading and evaluating various market study, retail audit, trade census and other projects run by the department.
• Survey Analysis: Design and implement robust survey methodologies for trade census and retail audit projects.
• Data Processing: Clean, validate, and analyze large datasets to ensure the highest level of data integrity.
• Business Research: Conduct market and business research, specifically focused on the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, services like trade and banking, and other sectors of interest.
• Reporting: Translate complex data sets into actionable business insights and high quality technical reports for multinational clients.
• Strategy Support: Utilize data-driven insights to support Excel’s integrated marketing and experiential strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Marketing or a related quantitative field. Master’s Degree or above in any of these or related field is a great advantage.
•  Experience: 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a research firm or the FMCG industry.
•  Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables) and statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, or R. Working knowledge of market research tools like SurveyCTO, PowerBI, KOBOL or Arc-GIS is a plus.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong orientation in business research and the ability to identify trends in consumer behavior and market dynamics.
•  Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic to present findings to diverse stakeholders.
