Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and provide input on system and technical design approaches, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and alignment with Oracle ERP base functionality.
- Design, build, test, and deploy ERP components including interfaces, conversions, reports, workflows, and custom extensions.
- Ensure effective integration of designs and developments across the ERP development team and related systems.
- Monitor and support inbound and outbound interfaces to Oracle ERP, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing.
- Provide third-line application support, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Configure and customize Oracle ERP applications to meet evolving business requirements using approved development and database tools.
- Design and develop front-end, middle-tier, and back-end database components for enterprise business applications.
- Participate in business requirements gathering and translating functional needs into technical and system designs.
- Perform data modeling and define data structures to support application functionality and reporting requirements.
- Support new and existing application development by delivering enhancements, modifications, and high-level system designs.
- Conduct business user requirements analysis and prepare technical specifications based on the functional specifications provided by the business user.
- Develop and execute technical designs to ensure effective implementation of business application systems.
- Interact with internal clients and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine technical and functional requirements.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test data sets with business users; perform unit, system, and regression testing, including automated testing where applicable.
- Work closely with IT operations and support teams to resolve issues escalated during daily operations.
- Formalize troubleshooting procedures, technical standards, and support documentation.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance on Oracle ERP modules, development tools, and best practices.
- Review and interpret Oracle technical documentation and assist in creating and updating Oracle Technical Assistance Requests (TARs).
- Assist in system demonstrations and presentations to business users and new departments.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance technical and user documentation to support system usage and supportability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
Qualifications
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certification in database systems and RDBMS technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)).
- Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in Oracle ERP application development, including system customization and report development.
- Strong experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) development.
- Experience in IT processes, procedures, and application support environments.
- Basic Unix/Linux user skills
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
