Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:
Develop, maintain, and support robust ETL processes using tools such as Microsoft SSIS, ensuring reliability, performance, and error handling in production environments.
Design and maintain reports and data extracts from Oracle Database and other disparate data sources to support operational and analytical needs.
Develop high-availability, scalable applications and actively monitor their performance to ensure optimal operation.
Create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical solutions and support rapid innovation.
Ensure all solutions are deployed and released through controlled processes, with proper versioning, documentation, and rollback plans in place.
Translate business requirements and complex problems into innovative, scalable technical solutions that are maintainable in production
Budget owned: Functional Budget
Participate in user research and usability testing to inform development and operational improvements from an end-user perspective.
Create and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests, and contribute to ongoing system monitoring, logging, and incident response procedures to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications
Qualifications
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant field
Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling)
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
