Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI Developers, Data Engineers, and Support Specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions across the enterprise.
Drive team performance, skill development, and career growth through regular coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of BI systems, ensuring consistency, performance, scalability, and maintainability of all reporting and analytics solutions.
Act as the technical escalation point for complex BI system issues and data anomalies, leading root cause analysis and long-term resolution strategies.
Ensure first-time-right delivery of all BI projects by implementing quality checks,
peer reviews, testing automation, and user acceptance validation processes.
Ensure delivery timelines for BI initiatives are met according to business demand, data dependencies, and analytics priorities.
Continuously improve BI development and operations processes by introducing automation, CI/CD pipelines, data cataloging, and standardized practices.
Manage cross-functional collaboration with Data Governance, IT, Security, Finance, Commercial, and Compliance teams to ensure aligned delivery of BI capabilities.
Ensure proper operational handover of new BI solutions to support teams with documentation, monitoring setup, and training for ongoing maintenance.
Promote data democratization and self-service BI by enabling business users with guided tools, intuitive dashboards, and reliable data sources.
Own and enhance the enterprise data and analytics landscape, ensuring BI platforms drive actionable insights, competitive advantage, and data-driven culture.
