Ministry of Health would like to invite competent and interested applicants for the following positions.
BACKGROUND
The Government of Ethiopia has received financial support from the World Bank to strengthen continental and regional infectious disease detection and response systems. MOH is responsible for the administration of the project fund which need considerable efforts to plan, administer, and follow-up. The project implementation Unit at MOH is responsible for the administration of the project fund, and procurement activities which need considerable efforts to plan, prepare TORs, evaluate-tenders, award contracts and follow-up implementations.
For the effective implementation of this project, MOH is looking for a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for the overall project coordination, ensure effective project management in consistent with agreements, manuals and project document throughout the life of the project. The coordinator will work closely with MOH/EPHI respective directorates/offices that have role in the project, and work collaboratively with the WB, Africa CDC and Zambia NPHI. The project coordinator will provide the overall supervision and guidance to the project activities.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this post is to provide MOH with a capacity to coordinate and implement the project in accordance with the project operation manual, and preparing overall project performance report timely. This will contribute to the success of the project as a whole. The Project Coordinator is a project management expert who has an extensive, in-depth knowledge and experience in project coordination process, and understands the legal, operational and human resource aspects and is expected to assure the proper execution of the project at all level as per the project agreement. The project coordinator applies his/her knowledge of expertise to all steps in the project implementation process.

METHODOLOGY
The Senior Special Advisor will work closely with the technical working group (TWG), with MOH/EPHI respective directorates/offices who have roles in the project and the WB, Africa CDC and Zambia NPHI. To ensure the efficiency /quality of work, he/she is expected to use the government regulations & WB Guidelines and procedures in the execution of the project.\
