ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Regional Field Operations Desk Coordinator position who meet the following requirements to apply.

Job Summary

The Regional Field Operations Desk Coordinator is a coordination role reporting to the Head of Election Operations Department at the HQ office of the NEBE. S/he is responsible to coordinate field operations and all election operation matters.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a key regional point of contact to coordinate NEBE election preparation activities, operational and equipment troubleshooting, and must report on the progress to NEBE’s operations department;
• Support the collection of information on a wide range of issues related to elections operation in regions;
• Ensure the regional preparations are in alignment with NEBE overall strategies and timelines;
• Provide regional support services for a wide variety of activities including distribution of election materials, transport management, implementation of security protocols, and ensuring the safe custody of NEBE assets;
• Provide technical and operational support to regional election staff as needed;
• Coordinates the work as well as staff under supervision to achieve objectives of the department / unit;
• Support coordination of training workshops for election officials in assigned region;
• Establish and monitor regional performance measurements and provide routine update reports;
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements on academic qualification:

• MA/BA in Business Management, Public Administration , Political Science and International Relations, Law, and related social science fields.
• 7 years for Masters or 8 years for BA relevant experience of which 4 years on leadership position.
