Join Our Mission:

We are looking for Project Health Officer who is responsible for facilitating the capacity building of project supported families, communities and duty bearers to effectively protect and care their children sustainably in cooperation with local authorities and other service providers, enabling children who are at risk of losing the care of the families to grown within a caring family environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate community mobilization and support the establishment and strengthening of Community Task Forces.
• Support identification, screening, and enrollment of project participants in collaboration with community structures.
• Lead implementation of health, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, and psychosocial support interventions for children and caregivers.
• Facilitate access to essential health services, including immunization, ART/TB services, home-based care, and referral systems.
• Conduct nutritional screening, organize nutrition education sessions, and coordinate supplementary feeding for malnourished children.
• Support development and follow-up of individualized household support and Family Development Plans.
• Provide or coordinate psychosocial support and facilitate child, caregiver, and community support groups.
• Organize health and HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns within project communities.
• Support participatory monitoring, routine data collection, household follow-up, and documentation of project results.
• Prepare timely reports, maintain updated beneficiary databases, and document success stories.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Requirements (Must-Have):

Education: BSc degree in Nursing, Health Officer, Midwifery or related field with

Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in similar projects in NGO

• Case management, trauma care and GBV response
• Strategic planning and coordination
• Stakeholder management and partnership building
• Results-based reporting and donor communication
• Child protection and inclusive education commitment
• Understanding of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) principles and practices.
• Strong networking, partnership, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of communication skills
• Ability to work under high pressure
• Positive and professional approach: highly organized, results-oriented, using initiative and keeping commitments

Desired Assets (Nice-to-Have):

• Strong understanding and familiarity with the local context and surrounding areas.
• Prior experience working with an INGO is a bonus
