The Project Coordinator will provide overall regional level coordination for the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project (2026–2030), funded by the Dutch Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA). This project aims to strengthen local civil society organizations to prevent and respond to harmful practices including Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM), Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), teenage pregnancy, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across Ethiopia’s Amhara, Oromia, Somali, and Afar regions.
The Project Coordinator will support the effective and timely implementation of the project at regional level, ensuring activities are delivered smoothly, resources are used efficiently, and partnerships are well coordinated. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the role focuses on day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities within the assigned region, in line with approved plans, budgets, donor requirements, and Plan International Ethiopia policies.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with regional government bureaus, Amref Health Africa, and local implementing partners to facilitate collaboration, address implementation challenges, and support the achievement of project results. The role will contribute to promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate-sensitive approaches in regional implementation, and will support the delivery of survivor-centered interventions, community engagement, peer education, facilitate trainings and other project strategies. Through effective coordination, partner support, and field-level problem solving, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring quality implementation and contributing to inclusive and sustainable project outcomes at regional level.
