In Ethiopia, WFP supports the government in countering malnutrition with targeted food support to the most vulnerable, helps communities build resilient lives with sustainable livelihood options and provides school lunches for primary school students.
Job Purpose
This position will work under the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) funded project titled “Sustainable Diversified Diets for Improved Nutrition in Seqota Declaration Woredas of Ethiopia” with the objective of improving dietary diversity of households with pregnant and breastfeeding women/ girls and children under two years. The duration of the project is two years (2025-2026). The position is based in Addis Ababa with frequent travel to intervention areas. The job holder reports to the Head of Nutrition or alternate and will work closely with the Stunting Prevention Officer. The position will provide support to nutrition programmes and activities that contribute to meeting the nutritional needs of WFP beneficiaries in Ethiopia and provide technical advice and guidance on nutrition strategies, programme design, and implementation.
