Login to Send MessageThe P&C Operation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day P&C operational functions and their performance in accordance with PIE policies and procedures. S/he provide hands-on support. Guidance and advice to staff and managers in operationalizing P&C policies and procedures. S/he has a responsibility to follow-up issues around employee relation, grievance and disciplinary case, Work place safeguarding, employee safety, Coordinate department audit. Under the supervision of Head of P and C, the incumbent is responsible in providing effective and efficient P&C service to the programmes, optimize the P&C functions. The job holder will be the focal person for programme Area P&C representatives and shall work in close collaboration with the Programme Area /Emergency Response Mangers when it comes to performance management and training and development need for the Area P&C representative.
S/he will also be expected to work in collaboration with colleagues within the department to operationalize the organization’s P&C initiatives, polices, practices run smoothly and contribute to a healthy work environment by ensuring the P&C polices, guideline, practices reach ground and understood and implemented by PIE Staff.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted
