Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite qualified applicants for its Ethiopian New International Airport building project the capacity of Mechanical Engineer.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Position : MECHANICAL ENGINEER
- Location : Ethiopian Airlines Head Quarter, Ethiopian Airport Enterprise Building (Recruitment & Placement Office)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BSC in Mechanical Engineering field of study with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, experience in Airport is advantageous.
- # Age – Not more than 50 years old
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- # Oversee, review and manage the design and implementation of mechanical works, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- # Proficiency in global mechanical engineering standards (ASHRAE, ISO, ICAO) applicable to airport infrastructure.
- # Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale HVAC systems for airport terminals, hangars, and support facilities.
- # Expertise in the design of airport-specific plumbing systems and fire protection, including sprinkler systems and emergency response protocols.
- # Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient mechanical systems, including LEED-certified designs.
- # Proven track record in the design and integration of specialized airport systems, such as baggage handling systems (BHS), passenger boarding bridges, and jet fuel systems.
- # Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated into overall airport operations.
- # In-depth understanding of aviation safety regulations and mechanical codes relevant to airport infrastructure.
- # Experience in supervising the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring quality and safety.
- # Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a high-demand airport environment.
- # Competency in using advanced design software (AutoCAD MEP, Revit) and BIM for mechanical system integration.
LANGUAGE
- Knowledge of ET working language English is mandatory.
