The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent performs skilled journeyman masonry work in buildings and other structures on all U.S. Government owned and leased properties. This includes, but not limited to, wall and structural repairs, tiling, plastering, concrete flatwork and equipment installation. The incumbent will install, maintain and repair sidewalks, driveways and foundations as required.

EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school is required. Apprenticeship or trade-school training is required.

Evaluations:LANGUAGE: Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic is required. (This may be tested).
Level 2 (Limited knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required (This may be tested).
Skills and Abilities: Ability to properly use all electrical and mechanical tools of the trade. Must be able to read blueprints, plans and specifications correctly. Must have a valid Grade 2 Ethiopian driving license for a minimum of 5 (five) years. (These may be tested)

A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
