ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Logistics Expert position who meets the following requirements.

Required number: Five

Reports to: Head, Finance and Budget Department

Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa

Duration: Six Months with the possibility Extension

Salary: As per the organization salary scale (Competitive)

Job Summary

The Logistics Expert will help in ensuring efficient and effective logistics planning and implementing the plan within predefined time table.

Duties and responsibilities

• Financial Transactions
• Assists the Senior Logistics and Transport Expert in the preparation of transport and logistics planning by providing information related to the pre-defined election requirement: – National election, Local election, Referendum and the like.
• Execute all transportation activities are executed as per requirements and plan.
• Keep accurate records for the number of vehicles/trucks utilized during each phase of election cycle so that information is forwarded to the concerned departments for payment and documentation.
• Ensure that packed election materials are dispatched and distributed to all constituencies/centers in a secured manner.
• Help in preparing periodic and perpetual reports.
• Perform all other duties as advised and directed by immediate supervisor.

Processes to manage and/or control

• Control transport functions such as preparing transport plan, raise purchase requests and make follow-up of the deployment of appropriate trucks loading election materials and retrieval of election materials.
• Make process audit and take corrective actions throughout all quarters where non-conformities encountered.

Specification:

Education and Work Experience:

• MA or BA degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance, Business management or related field.
• 5 years for Masters or 7 years for Degree relevant Experience.
