ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for IT Technician – Intern position who meet the following requirements.

Required number: Three

Reports to: Head, of Asset Management Department

Duty station: NEBE Head Quarter, Addis Ababa

Duration: Contract for three month

IT Technician – Intern is responsible for providing assistance in the following roles: –

Duties and responsibilities

• Provides technical support and work with the senior store keeper,
• Test functionality of ICT materials available in the store.
• Troubleshooting simple hardware and software issues.
• Identify the type of additional maintenance and repair required for non-functional hard wares
• Render additional service expected from him/her
• Handle any other related activities as requested by the Asset Management Head or the deputy head.

Education and Work Experience: 

• BA/MA degree in Information Technology, Compute Science or other relevant studies
• 0 – 1 year for BA Degrees or Masters

Knowledge

• Knowledge of IT principles and practices.
• Relationship building and communication

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Effective time management to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
