IT Professional Full Time

Job Summary:

The IT Professional will be responsible for managing and maintaining the medical center’s information technology systems, ensuring that all IT-related operations, hardware, software, networks, and data are running efficiently and securely. The role supports daily operations, medical equipment systems, and digital workflow essential for the healthcare environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. System & Network Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, printers, and network devices.

• Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network issues.

• Manage internet connectivity, routers, switches, and access points.

• Ensure secure access controls and user account management.

2. Software & Application Support

• Install and update software, including medical management systems (EMR/HMIS).

• Ensure proper functioning of hospital management software, billing systems, and database applications.

• Provide user support and training for staff on software tools.

3. Hardware Maintenance

• Diagnose and repair computer hardware problems.

• Ensure proper functioning of medical-related IT equipment (e.g., ultrasound data systems, lab devices).

• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and accessories.

4. Data Security & Backup

• Implement data protection protocols and ensure regular backups.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient data as per healthcare standards.

• Monitor security systems and take preventive actions against threats (viruses, malware, etc.).

5. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Respond promptly to IT support requests from staff.

• Provide on-site troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.

• Configure email accounts, file-sharing systems, and office applications.

6. Website & Communication Support

• Assist in maintaining and updating the medical center’s website (if required).

• Support digital communication channels (email, social media, Telegram).

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of IT equipment, software licenses, and maintenance schedules.

• Prepare periodic IT reports for management.

• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions.

 Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of IT experience.

• Experience in private healthcare institutions is highly advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software maintenance.

• Understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), Wi-Fi setup, and configuration.

• Experience with Windows OS, MS Office, and basic server management.

• Familiarity with HMIS/EMR systems (preferred).

• Skills in website updating and troubleshooting (added advantage).

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to technical issues.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Professional conduct and respect for patient data confidentiality.
