Login to Send MessageReporting and Analysis Support Support the preparation of periodic reports, briefing materials, and background notes for team review Compile and organize inputs from IOPS colleagues and other relevant UNOAU sections for weekly, monthly, and thematic reporting Monitor relevant developments in AU and UN partnership discussions and prepare brief summaries under supervision Maintain reporting trackers, databases, and document records to support accuracy and continuity Coordination and Meeting Support Assist in preparing materials and documentation for meetings, workshops, consultations, and joint AU UN activities Take notes during meetings and prepare draft summaries for internal circulation Support logistical and coordination arrangements for IOPS meetings and events Research and Knowledge Management Conduct background research on AU UN cooperation frameworks, peace support operations, and institutional partnership issues Collect and organize information to support policy discussions and planning processes Contribute to knowledge management by organizing files and improving access to key reference materials Administrative Support Assist with routine administrative tasks, including drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, and managing document workflows Support preparations for missions, workshops, and conferences, including briefing packs and follow up documentation Provide general administrative support to the IOPS team, as required Communication and Visibility Support Assist in preparing content for internal communication platforms, newsletters, and knowledge sharing products Support documentation of good practices, lessons learned, and partnership milestones Other Duties Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor in support of the work of IOPS
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
