GMP Technologist Full Time

An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company for the role of GMP Technologist. We works with the world’s most cherished trade mark; invests in the most sophisticated production system in the world and employ people who are prepared to work with passion and focus.

The role is structured to report to the Quality Assurance Technologist and the incumbent works to ensure GMP standards are met on total site and ensure product hygiene standards are maintained, will ensure the correct hygiene standards are maintained through the entrenchment of best in class SHEQ standards through strong performance management and right SHEQ capability.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Carry out microbiological tests.
2. Identify swabbing areas.
3. Draft/develop sampling plan.
4. Prepare lab equipment for micro testing.
5. Do micro sampling.
6. Perform GMP audits.
7. Conduct weekly audits & inspection.
8. Report & record issues & corrective action from surveys.
9. Manage pest control program.
10.  Monitored plant CIP routines.
11. Do CIP verification titrations.
12. Ensure CIP schedule is followed to the letter.
13. Communicate non-conformances to relevant parties.

Skills, Experience & Education

• First Degree in Microbiology , Applied Biology,  Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Environmental science or related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
