Associate IT Full Time NEW

The IT Associate is responsible for providing technical support to staff, ensuring the smooth operation of all network systems, and assisting in the maintenance of computers and IT security across the firm. The role involves helping maintain and secure the IT infrastructure.

End User Support

• Provide first-level technical support to end users (hardware, software, network, and account issues).
• Troubleshoot basic IT problems and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Ensure timely response for user support.

  Network Support

• Assist in basic server monitoring and ensure services are running properly.
• Support Active Directory by creating and managing user accounts under supervision.
• Monitor DHCP service status and report any issues to senior IT staff.
• Support DNS configuration by updating or verifying entries when instructed.
• Monitor file server and storage availability and report low space issues.

  Local area Network Administration

• Ensure all LAN-connected devices are online and functioning.
• Assist in connecting new devices or relocating existing nodes.
• Join new users to Active Directory with proper access rights.
• Support in sharing network resources such as folders and printers.

  Wi-Fi Network Administration

• Assist in managing company Wi-Fi access (SSID and password).
• Maintain basic Wi-Fi security by changing passwords when instructed.
• Monitor Wi-Fi connectivity and escalate issues as needed.

  Domain and Email Support

• Assist in creating, deleting, and modifying user mailbox accounts.
• Support in configuring user email accounts on mail clients.
• Help manage distribution lists, forwarding rules, and group memberships.
• Escalate advanced domain issues to senior IT staff.

  IT Security Support

• Ensure basic LAN and Wi-Fi security procedures are followed.
• Verify antivirus software is active and updated on all user devices.
• Assist in regular data backups and follow security checklists.
• Report any suspicious activity or security incidents to senior IT staff.

  GTI IT Security Requirement (Basic)

• Follow GTI IT security and compliance policies.
• Monitor firewall and security tools for alerts and report issues.
• Ensure company devices are protected with central antivirus and encryption.
• Support Mimecast (or equivalent email security solution) operations under supervision.

  Computer Maintenance

• Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Replace or prepare basic IT equipment for users.
• Report network or internet outages to service providers through proper channels.
• Help track IT assets and coordinate service renewals with the IT team.
• Set up and configure laptops and desktops for new users.
• Remove accounts of terminated users under senior IT supervision.

  User account Management

• Create, modify, and delete user accounts in AD and domain following procedures.
• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Ensure user access follows company policies and security standards.

• BA in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, and related fields.
