Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and institutional policies. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain all financial transactions in compliance with accounting policies.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate cash flow management.

• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial performance.

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, audit requirements, and internal controls.

• Support the Finance Head in external and internal audits.

• Maintain organized records and documentation for all financial activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; experience in private health institutions is an added advantage.

• Good understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• High ethical standards and attention to accuracy.
