| TEAM PURPOSE: The Programmes Team will ensure that the programmes make the proper shift, with the quality needed to ensure a proper achievement of the Ethiopia Oxfam Country Strategy. As part of the programmes team, the whole team on the sectors of the whole programmes will ensure that the Goal 1 (Goal One – Saving Lives, and Resilient Livelihoods) and Goal 2 (Goal Two – Empowered communities and accountable governance) of the OCS are achieved with the required quality and timely. This team will work very closely with the programme teams ensuring the link between all Six programmes focused on: Humanitarian Response and Resilience Building; Sustainable Food and Climate Change; Urban Development; Gender Justice; Youth for the Future (Y4F) and the right to be Heard-Governance and Accountability. JOB PURPOSE: The Senior MEAL Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of MEAL tools and systems for Oxfam projects and programmes. This includes conducting, managing, and documenting key discrete MEAL milestones, events, and processes, building partner MEAL capacity, MEAL internal and external reporting, and knowledge management between departments and partner affiliates to ensure Oxfam benefits from applied programme learning. She/He is also responsible for leading/conducting different surveys, assessments, evaluations, post-distribution monitoring for programs/projects as per Oxfam program quality standards, Core Humanitarian Standards as well as CAMSA minimum requirements and work also with the field programme teams, Other INGOs, partners, clusters and other local agencies and key line-local Government officials. This role is also responsible for developing and coordinating the implementation of a comprehensive MEAL system to enhance our ability to demonstrate the impact of our long-term development programme needs and humanitarian response in all interventions for both refugees, IDPs, and host community response programs. | |
