POSITION: District Digital Banking Officer II

Duty Stations: Jimma and Diredawa Districts

JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Banking Officer is responsible for driving district-level growth, activation, usage, monitoring, and support of the Bank’s digital banking channels and related digital customer services. The role ensures branches actively promote digital products, customers are properly onboarded and activated, and digital performance gaps are identified and addressed on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive district-level enrollment, activation, and usage growth for the Bank’s mobile banking, internet banking, card-related, agent-linked, and other approved digital services.
2. Work closely with branches to ensure digital products are consistently promoted, explained, and activated for customers.
3. Monitor digital performance by branch, product, campaign, and customer segment and identify underperforming areas that require intervention.
4. Conduct branch coaching, customer demonstrations, district awareness sessions, and field activations to support digital adoption.
5. Identify dormant users, onboarding bottlenecks, usage barriers, and recurring channel issues and recommend practical solutions.
6. Support customer onboarding and branch coordination for digital financing-related service workflows where assigned.
7. Coordinate with relevant Head Office digital teams on system issues, product feedback, training needs, and rollout support.
8. Prepare district digital banking dashboards, activation reports, branch performance updates, and issue logs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, Marketing, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in digital banking, branch operations, product support, customer service, or channel development roles within the banking sector is preferred.
