1. Purpose of the Job:

To ensure the maximum availability of vehicles, machineries and mobile equipment that used for preparation and supply of Raw Materials, transport finished product and transport staffs from and to the work place. Develop comprehensive plan and schedule for vehicles and machineries inspection and maintenance; Manage spare part supply and utilization; maximize the operational life time of vehicles, machineries and equipment by implementing advanced Automotive preventive maintenance programs. Develop and implement proved practice in managing consumables as fuel, oil, grease, tire etc.

1. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
2. Ensure that all work place safety requirement has maintained before starting any activity.
3. Maintain comprehensive detail register for vehicles, machineries and mobile equipment, including their life history and trends.
4. Plan, determine resources and time to execute preventive and break down maintenance.
5. Ensure that proper work shop place, tools store, fast moving spars, grease and oil store, vehicles washing facilities has made available to conduct efficient work.
6. Equip the workshop with up dated vehicle diagnosing gadgets and appropriate software.
7. Determine resources necessary to execute preventive maintenance plans.
8. Develop and implement automotive preventive maintenance performance management system.
9. Create and manage automotive preventive and break down maintenance data and information management system.
10. Conduct regular cost benefit analyses of long served vehicles and present recommendation to the management.
11. Manage the costs and benefits of different renewal, automotive maintenance, and overhaul and disposal interventions.
12. Monitor and coordinate the application of quality parameters and standards for proper management of asset maintenance
13. Work closely with mechanical workshop to fabricate or recondition some spare parts.
14. Organize long term strategic plan and short-term operational plan and submit to the management.
15. Oversee the activities and processes to procure and use automotive maintenance tools and equipment.
16. Ensure that the automotive preventive maintenance activities are compliant with the relevant technical standards
17. Review and audit the effectiveness of automotive preventive maintenance processes and systems.
18. Put in place proper management for maintaining tools and equipment utilized in the work area.
19. Ensure that the workshop has filled with skilled and competent technical manpower.
20. Develop and implement good management for keeping of used parts either for reuse or to dispose.
21. Train, coach, support and develop staffs working the work unit.
22. Conduct in house training for operators and drivers on how to operate and handle the vehicles they are assigned on.
23. Ensure implementation of standardized house-keeping procedure and practice; putting information giving sign boards in all proper place. Maintain work place SOP.
24. Manage work schedule as OT and different leaves of the staffs.
25. Implement performance management system and conduct regular evaluation of the staffs.
26. Implement work improvement management systems as direction given from the company.
27. Ensure the implementation of all government regulations and requirements.
28. Update his professional carrier in discussion with his immediate supervisor.
29. Perform all activities with in short period of time and cost saving method.
30. Prepares periodic performance reports and submits to immediate supervisor.
31. Performs related duties assigned by immediate supervisor and line manager.

4. Education and Related Work Experience

4.1 Education

• BSC/MSC Degree in Automotive Engineer/ Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineer or related field of study.

4.2. Related Work Experience

• 18/16 years’ relevant work experience out of which 6/4 years in managerial position respectively
