Research, Planning and Monitoring Officer Full Time NEW

Job Summary

The Research, Planning and Monitoring Officer is responsible for conducting economic, financial,
and capital market research, and for coordinating the Bank’s strategic and business planning
processes. This role tracks organizational performance against approved KPIs, produces
management and Board-level reports, and provides data driven insights to strengthen decision
making across the Investment Bank.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Project
  Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Accounting, Statistics, Development Studies, or a
  related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in research, strategic planning, monitoring,
  business analysis, preferably within financial services or investment banking.
  or
• Strong knowledge of economic, financial, and capital market analysis, Ethiopia’s capital
  market, and the investment banking regulatory environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent analytical, research, report writing, and presentation skills.
  Strong understanding of performance management frameworks, KPIs, and business
  analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite — Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Power
  Bl or other data analytics tools is an advantage.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across
  departments.
• High attention to detail, accountability, and professional integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple planning, monitoring, and reporting deliverables simultaneously.
