| TEAM PURPOSE:
Safety professionals and other staff tasked with safety and security matters, supported by program/project managers and other Oxfam staff are to ensure that all Oxfam working locations have the capacity to effectively support the management of safety risks to enable Oxfam to effectively meet its program objectives.
JOB PURPOSE: Under the direct supervision of Gambella Refugee Response Program Manager with technical supervision by the Country Safety and Security Coordinator (CSC(, the Senior Safety and Security officer (SSSO) is responsible for facilitating the safety and security of Oxfam GB personnel and assets and will be responsible for monitoring, planning, assessing, and keeping up to date security situation of the operation areas (Gambella Region). The SSSO is expected to have an excellent understanding of local context and ability to analyze security dynamics.
