Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
- At least (3) three years of experience in travel, transport and expediting experience is required.
Education Requirements:
EDUCATION: Completion of secondary education is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
- Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic are required. (These may be tested)
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets. It’s also an additional comfortable with Internet browsers, e-mail, and Outlook functions. Excellent working knowledge of VISA/passport and VAT regulations and policies. Excellent working knowledge of GOE, Department of State and CDC regulations and procedures governing the shipment of household and personal effects and other private property and U.S, Government property. Excellent working knowledge of the capabilities, and general procedures of shipment and local transfer companies. Good working knowledge of the location of diplomatic and governmental offices, travel and mailroom procedures. Must possess Grade III Ethiopian driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years. (These may be tested)

- The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

* IMPORTANT: Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification. A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active-duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on the letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
